Identity theft prevention
We are serious about security & protecting your personal information. We handle your financial information with great care & want to provide you with information to help you protect yourself from harm, like identity theft.
Identity theft occurs when someone pretends to be you by somehow getting ahold of your personal information, like your Social Security number, date of birth or passwords, to pass themselves off as you. This can lead to bank accounts, credit cards & loans opened in your name.
If you received a Walmart MoneyCard card in the mail, please know the card you received is not a credit product & your credit report was not accessed to open the account. The account does not impact your credit history; however, if it appears your personal information has been compromised, if you have not already done so, you may want to contact the credit reporting agencies to report suspected identity theft & ensure additional financial products have not been &/or will not be opened using your personal information.
If you suspect identity theft with a Walmart MoneyCard® account or are receiving texts or emails about your Walmart MoneyCard account & you don’t have an account with us, let us know by clicking the button below.
